Why the DRC was founded.


Initially the DRC www.datarecoverycompanies.co.uk website was developed to counter the nationwide domination of the Fields Group which dominates the PPC pay per click sponsored listings and  is known for  selling of fake data recovery reports and defrauding consumers.

Very few data recovery companies actually trade in the UK, most are resellers of the main data recovery specialists.

My data recovery lab was seeing far too many of Fields fake reports for them to be isolated incidents, what was worse is many other labs accross Europe were also getting calls from consumers who had paid Fields for parts yet they failed to recover any data, not unusual some might say, but the drives were recoverable , one lab saw 9 drives in one week which were all recovered despite Fields saying they were beyond recovery.  What was more concerning was the damage to PCB and platters which was not consistent with the clients description of the failure.

Fields launched www.data-recovery-companies.co.uk in 2008 and www.comparedatarecovery.co.uk in 2009 .

A further 30 Fields compare  / review websites with fake testimonials were launched  in 2010

In 2011 Fields launched several blogs and forums in an attempt to give the impression that  many thousands of customers are happy with their services.

But try and find 1 (one) genuine review or testimonial for Fields Data Recovery or Rapid Data Recovery in the last 10 YEARS.

Their sector domination through unrelenting growth is financed by the money they scam from unsuspecting consumers and Welsh Assembly / Government Grants.

They have damaged  genuine data recovery companies who do not benefit from such grants yet have the skills and expertise to recovery drives Fields charge money for a form to say "no recovery possible".   ---  Slander , Libelous no - documented fact - Papermills make more profits selling "forensics services" dressed up in paper but no recovered data.

Thats not to say Fields are not recovering data, it is the fact that they would defraud consumers and deliberately damage drives in the process not in isolated incidents but hundreds of times a year.

The DRC in the last year has been used to collect the experiences of those affected by  the Fields Group and its associates,  publishing articles about the problems found when looking for a data recovery lab has helped many find out how they were defrauded.
 
I found this necessary after  I was wrongly accused of posting on www.data-recovery-blog.co.uk  and www.data-recovery-blog.com 

I became a victim myself, I received threats of being sued for £250,000 plus £25,000 per day and and despite offerring mediation  was wrongly served court papers and was physically attacked by a  Fields Associates representative.
