LC Technology solves TRIM related issues for SSD’s, introduces “SSD Utility Suite™”

Nottingham, United Kingdom –1st June, 2010 — LC Technology International, the leading provider of commercial and OEM image recovery technology and file system utilities for Flash Storage Devices announced today a comprehensive new suite of utilities aimed at maintaining the performance of Solid State Drives (SSD’s). The suite is not only designed to enable faster performance, but it also will help extend the lifespan of SSD’s running on Microsoft® Operating Systems. The SSD Utility Suite gives consumers access to some of the unique features built into today’s SSD’s, most important being able to TRIM and optimize the drive.
 
“The SSD Utility Suite is an essential set of tools to provide performance enhancement, data security and firmware management for Solid State Drives.  More importantly, the Utility Suite is a proactive support tool, enabling customers to make informed decisions regarding their data – whether to back it up, erase it securely or optimize the drive”, says David Zimmerman, President of LC Technology.

“The standard features give the end user the ability to execute the TRIM command manually or through various scheduling options for any supported drive to maintain consistent write performance of the SSD. We accurately monitor and manage all ATA compliant SSD’s in the system, providing detailed information on all drives, view the status of all SMART (Self Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) attributes, execute all built in SMART tests insuring proper health of the drive as well as give users the ability to securely erase the SSD” .

The SSD Utility Suite currently supports Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Server 2003 and Server 2008 including both 32 and 64 bit versions including all released Service Packs on all MS file systems with support for Microsoft AHCI and Intel Matrix Storage Manager.

Additional features are available to OEM’s such as Firmware Updates and other proprietary device operations. LC Technology's “SSD Utility Suite™”is designed to appeal to SSD manufacturers as well as system integrators looking to enhance the performance of their products. OEM versions of the suite can be modified to include company logos, custom buttons, colors, icons and interface designs. The ability to limit features and functions for competitive brands is also available. Test versions are available to qualified OEM’s upon request.
