It may not come as a surprise to those aware of the long running problems with the unconcionable methods used by some companies in the field of data recovery to find out that Fields Associates will be yet again brought to task over their actions in a court of law.

With so many victims of data recovery scams many reputable data recovery companies have had to bear the cost and inconvenience of helping the victims of DataPhoenix, Rapid Data and Fields Data Recovery,  knowing that yet more victims will fall prey to Fields Associates PPC (Pay Per Click) Domination .

What will need to be addressed is the why did it take so long for the scams to get noticed and reported ?

With so many consumers and businesses affected what has become clear is that only the private individuals have the right to lodge a complaint with Trading Standards, businesses have no rights except for the right to seek legal redress, so just what are the numbers involved.

Unfortunately more papermill scams have been exposed with several other operations which are also operated by "The Fields Group" papermill.

Basically this company charges for paper reports to justify charging for nothing on many occassions, if you are lucky  they may just do some software recoveries but anything more results in a detailed report explaining why they charged for nothing.

However since the expose by competitors and various consumer watchdog websites Fields have changed their tactics and drives are less likely to be returned damaged beyond recovery.

Nightmare company - they tried to charge many times their initial quote, their customer service was abysmal and they returned my drive more damaged than it was when they received it, to the point where the data is now lost. A second company I asked to have a look at my drive wouldn't even look at it when they heard where it had been, and said they had hundreds of people each month complaining about Fields and their subsidiaries, having been ripped off and had their equipment ruined. Stay well clear!

This company is a scam. They entice you in with promises of low prices which quickly escalate. They then produce little to no usable data, and when questioned play for time and ignore you.

I received my drive back in a worse state then I sent it out, with no data and a huge bill. I only got my money back when I threatened court action.

Avoid at all costs.
