Commumication throughout was excellent, and following diagnosis included a full list of recoverable files. My USB broke and had been told by two other computer specialists that they thought the info couldn't be retrieved. I got a very quick and personalised service from the company who saved all my uni and teaching work from the device and gave me the option of getting it back straight away by uploading it onto a server or posting it back to me on a USB. The service cost £99+ VAT which I personally feel is a lot for the amount of time the job takes but it was a lot cheaper than the first person's quote who wanted £35 just to send it away and have someone look at it, at least this company doesn't charge if they can't fix it!

| We lost 400gb of data form our hard drive it basically stopped working and our local computer shop coul not do anything for us. I sent a email on the evening to data recovery and received a curtosy phone call the following morning form Luke explaing the services they offer and the cost. They collected the drive by courier on the Friday, received a email to say the had received it on the Monday, had aphone call form the technician on Tuesday to say they had recovererd some data and asked for the impotant folders which they had found. Asked which format i wanted the external hard drive in windows or mac and received back on Thursday by courier with all the data transfered. In this case mission critical data was retrieved successfully with calmness while my expectations as an anxious customer were managed sensitively. | I was referred to ABC through a forensic contact to retrieve data off my server's drive that had failed and becuase my back up had failed also. Whilst I opted for the 24 hour option this was not achieved because of what they had to do but most of the data was retrieved (79%) in two days; which has saved me from completely losing 3 months of work. | Well, you will find lower prices offered for data recovery BUT if you want to know the price you are quoted is actually the price you will pay, then ABC is the company you need. Having read all sorts of scare stories about Data Recovery companies that offer a low price and then keep charging for extra parts and work, only to then fail to recover anything, I was rather worried when my hard disc failed. I spent many hours trawling the web to try and find someone trustworthy - in the end I struck gold with ABC. After emailing them details of my problem, they came back with a quote for recovering my data - and that quote was exactly what I paid in the end - no surprises, no underhand attempts to extract more money from me, just a genuine customer friendly experience. They do a no recovery, no fee, service and provide a list of the files that they are able to recover before you pay a single penny. Only when you know what can be recovered do you have to decide whether to commit the recovery. They have a superb tracking system that keeps you in touch with what stage they are at, from receipt of your drive to despatch of the recovered files. In addition to this, they contact you by phone and are more than happy to discuss any aspect of the recovery with you. There was one specific file that I needed and they were happy to check out that it could be opened and seemed intact before I made my decision.
