Fields Data Recovery Exposed On German TV  ( German data recovery lab non - existent )

Despite many websites, forums and blogs and some competitors reporting problems with the efficacy of data recovery services provided by Fields Data Recovery,  too many consumers are being affected by an internet marketing operation designed to promote data recovery services yet in reality they are little better than the 1000+ resellers who they claim trust their services.

Fields Data Recovery complaints are mounting week by week and they do not appear to be the ISO 9001 INVESTOR IN PEOPLE type of company they portray after nearly 2 years of knowing they have a problem.
 
Worse it is clear they cannot have the  technical expertise or resources to supply expert data recovery services and this was exposed on German TV last year * and will likely be followed by UK and US versions similar to the Fox News expose of Data Recovery Corp.**

Why are Fields Associates  not dealing with complaints effectively ? Where are the 150 staff  that Fields claim to have and why did they attempt to malign every competitor in the UK data recovery market using www.comparedatarecovery.co.uk ?.

(click image to be taken to German TV station website and play the video) German researchers proved conclusively that Fields do not have a data recovery lab in Germany an likely not any lab at all if what we see is anything to go by, so what are consumers paying for ?... Another papermill business designed to sell reports for the minimal effort and investment, like Quickie Divorce  and Tribunal Direct or Lush Dates and Sugar Daddy.

Those readers who have followed my other articles on this subject will already know I have actively sought to expose the rogues in the UK DR industry after some made claims about my company which were incorrect and Fields through its connections attempted to put my company and my dedicated team of data recovery experts out of business.

I am currently defending a claim made against me by Fields Associates Ltd,  without prejudicing the outcome suffice to say the particulars of claim are at best unfounded and worse show how little regard Fields Data Recovery directors have for their competitors or the  consumers they victimise. Moreover it would not have been necessary if they had not shown a blatent disregard for my warnings that they had a problem.

Instead the Director Dr Daryl Hamilton Wallis said he would have me arrested, would send bailiffs and that he had the "chief of police investigating ". and I would be in court the next day, well that was over a year ago, it is only since a victims blog and forum was launched in early 2010 that Fields wrongly assumed I was posting on it,  they then threaten to sue me for £250,000 plus £25,000 per day that the blog stayed online.. *** however I am not their problem, their prolblem is how they treat their customers and then expect other labs to stand by silenced by the threats of litigation.

What has to be remembered is that Fields started this online discussion with their attempt using the Compare IT website www.comparedatarecovery.co.uk to say we charged 3 times more on average than we actually do, and that we were the worst data recovery company in the UK yet we are one of the few that can show we have a lab and clean room plus our annual clean room test certifcate and thousands of satified clients, so I took the necessary steps to expose their actions.

My company offers a free collection and no data no fee data recovery service, but we had to suspend this for any drives sent first to Fields Data Recovery Ltd, Rapid Data Recovery Ltd and DataPhoenix.

What became clear is that many of the clients had approached my company for quotes but decided that the corporate image and slick sales patter combined with a cheap data recovery price was a better deal.

Upon finding they have been misled they then ask for help from abc , but we generally refuse to allow any drives previously sent to those labs identified as not having the resources they claim, we now charge for a report or advance inspection fee of £95+vat to cover the costs. However there are companies which are charging £265 for this service and again it brings home that consumers need to check the data recovery company they are dealing with is more than just a slick marketing machine.

Since I exposed their methods of pretending to do recoveries and then damaging drives in the process they have changed their methods, they now send drives back in a recoverable condition but with a 10 page report explaining why it was not recoverable which often leave consumers out of pocket for around £200 .

Many thought my campaign for Data Recovery companies to show their clean room certificates was a marketing ploy, it was not, Fields had made claims to these potential clients that I did not have a clean room nor the team of data recovery experts that have made my business so successful. And by doing so misled the client .

What they had underestimated was the resolve of a company director to protect his technicians and the companies that do provide the services they claim.

If a data recovery lab opens a drive in a clean room it will not be contaminated, maybe this is why Fields now just break the warranty seals but do not actually remove the cover plate, whatever happens be sure to make an informed decision when choosing a reputable data recovery company.

Anyone can recover a drive with software or make minor pcb repairs but less than 30% of drives that come into data recovery labs fall inot that catagory.
