The data recovery scam was exposed after a number of data recovery companies noticed that reports produced by Fields Data Recovery  / Rapid Data  / Dataphoenix operated by Fields Associates Ltd were nothing more than elaborate misinformation designed to charge for a "forensic services" report,  supplying nothing more than a document detailing why the recovery was not possible.

In reality many of these drives were proven to be recoverable but many businesses and consumers went away believing their precious data was lost for good.

The 10 page report tries to explain to cover up the fact that they could not get the data or worse could not get the client to part with substantially more than actually quoted after being lured in by a cheap price.



In reality the data recovery scam victims are charged for useless paper on the pretence that parts were sourced or extensive work undertaken when in reality this has proven on far too many occassions to not be the case.

Despite Fields Associates Director and the Fields Group Chairman threatening legal challenges and even financial ruin on thier victims and competitors they have started to pay out of court settlements to many of their victims.

Unfortunately the data recovery scam operated by Fields has not stopped. and they are launching dozens of fake reviews websites and forums intended to flood out the rising number of sites reporting on the Quickie Divorce, ActionDirect, PCN UK and UK Digital Solutions complaints.

The Fields Group has an amnual turnover of nearly £9million ($20million) and  even if a small percentage of this is said to be an acceptable level of complaints (according to trading standards )  this does not solve the problem of the continued methods of defrauding consumers that the Fields Group maintains is acceptable and they said in one court hearing that they have " a good working relationship with Bridgend Trading Standards going back over 5 years" 

If you suspect you have been charged for a fake data recovery report, get a second opinion but make sure its not from a Fields Group Company.
