Another Fields Data Recovery Victim

Another Fields Data Recovery Victim
Description

Featured review of Fields Data-Recovery

Fields Group will say these "rants" are written by a hostile competitor.

Ab - so - lute- ly !!

The quickest way to find out about the Fields and Rapid data recovery scams is to do a search online  . (Quickie Divorces, PPI Claims, Debt Management - Employment Tribunals, Visa Applications and well anything that can sell nothing more than a form)

My company and others are also victims of Fields Groups sector domination but not because they are better, just that they are better funded and they have a well rehearsed ISO 9001 SCAM pumping money through to their operations in Thailand.

My name is Andy Butler and I set out to build the UK's best data recovery lab with a team of technicians able to provide the highest recovery rates possible at realistic costs to many of the data recovery companies in the UK found advertising on google.

We had been noticing the the increasing number of victims of Fields Associates since 2007.

Unfortunately in helping the victims of Fields understand how they were defrauded my companies became victims themselves after I was assaulted and seriously injured by a representative of Fields Associates / The Fields Group.

I realised Fields Data Recovery "forensic" reports were fake and designed to defraud consumers on an industrial scale, what the victims found was far more sinister.

Very few have been willing to take on a government grant funded corporation which believes it can buy and use the UK Legal System for malicious, vexatious and costly  High Court Injunctions to bully their clients and competitors.

I have continued to help the victims, where I went wrong was not realising how far these corporate conmen would go to cover up what they have been up to .

Here is a link to my convoluted story and why I too am in recovery mode :-

Since this article was first written, Fields have been settling out of court with many who have realised they were defrauded, they have also been posting fake data recovery reviews and review websites. Worse they have bullied and attacked their victims to the point of harrassment, - lets hope the Judge re-instates the data-recovery-blog.com forum for the victims of Fields Data Recovery.,

I too was awarded an extra-ordinary damages award after Fields attempted to use their "in house legal team" to bring a vexatious claim against me. read "
have you been mulcted"

Fields solicitor stated in court to the Judge that Fields have :- " a good working relationship with Bridgend Trading Standards going back 5 years"    what an extra-ordinary claim to make !

For those of you have been on the receiving end of the Fields Data Recovery scam it may come as no surprise that Fields still cannot recover drives that their expensive forensic reports or leading data recovery experts say are beyond recovery yet other labs recover.

Dishonest, cannot get any information, does not perform recovery

DO NOT USE FIELDS!!! This company is a SCAM. Back in August I sent in my drive that was accidently reformatted.

I was told that 95% of this type of recovery would cost $199.
I did try to research Fields, but the worse thing I came across was slow service.

I was put at ease by the the Customer Service Rep who was very professional and courteous. I was assured of their guaranty of no cost if they can't retrieve any data.

Well, I sent my drive in, and was promptly sent an email (Within 3 days of sending my drive in) with a list of recoverable files on my hard drive (About 80 gigs worth). The only problem was, they wanted about $900 to do the recovery.

After being lulled into a false state of comfort, and negotiating the recovery cost down to about $600, I agreed to have them perform the task. I was told I should get my data back in about a week.

Once they got my money, everything changed. A week turned into two, then three, then four. After about a month of calling, I finally got a USB drive back with what looked like it had all of my data on it. Even though it took a while,
I didn't care. I was just glad to get my missing data. Well, that’s what I thought until I tried to open some files on that drive. It took several weeks to get through my files, but onb the entire disc, the only file I could open was one, (Yes, only one) file, which by the way was just a saved internet shortcut. Every other file on that drive was corrupt.

I called them back and they were very apologetic, and told me to send back the drive, and they would redo the recovery.

I sent it back, and again was assured that I would get my data back within a week. That week went by, then another one, and many more. Two months and a hundred phone calls and emails later. I finally got the drive back. Guess what, no useable data again. I called and wanted and asked for a refund. The CS rep said he didn't have the authority to do that, and he would have to have someone from the home office in London call me. It's been over two weeks, and of course no call. Anyway, the last conversation I had when I called back the Customer Service Rep, I stated their guaranty, and was told that actually I did get all my data back, and just because it was all corrupt and non-useable, they did what they promised.

So, after many attemps of trying to talk to somebody there with authority, I gave up. I had put this purchase and on a credit card and called my bank to see if they would stop payment. They said they would investigate my claim. In the end, they did end up stopping payment. I am very thankful and feel very lucky that it all worked out for me at the end. You may want to try this yourself as the last resort. AGAIN, DO NOT USE FIELDS DATA RECOVERY!!!

Some Fake Reviews for Fields and Rapid Data Recovery

I had dozens of old CD’s at work with important info on it I could not read anymore. I asked Rapid for a diagnosis, which they did free of charge, but they told me to go to Fields who could give me a better recovery percentage. Fields ended up recovering 97% of the CD’s. Thanks to both Fields and Rapid!

During my move my external hard drive ended up getting damaged and it was imperative that I get all the data back. Rapid offered recovery at a good price and I had the opportunity to review all the retrievable data on a listing they e-mailed me listing to make sure they could get all my data back. Thank you rapid for a full recovery!

Thanks to Rapid I didn’t have to cancel my next gig when my external hard drive broke down. All I had to do was send my external hard drive to them and they let me know how much it was going to be. They got all my music back for super cheap. Thanks Rapid!
